DESCRIPTION:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
DShutdown is an utility (Freeware) that it allows to program the turning off of the local PC e/o of other remote PC in a LAN on you systematize Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP:
1. After one established time period.
2. To a specified hour.
3. To a hour specified of a particular day of the settimana/mese/anno.
4. When a program in execution finishes.
5. When the use of the CPU from a trial (or of all) it goes beyond a datum level for a datum time.
6. When the activity Internet (upload e/o download) he reduces under certain values for a datum time.
7. When the line of the modem falls, or of another analogous peripheral (card of net etc.).
8. when a pixel on the screen changes its color.
9. When another program (or the consumer himself) ago an application of shutdown.
LOCAL SHUTDOWN:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

All it takes is to check "LocalHost" in the list of the IPs to be extinguished and the local PC will extinguish him with the selected options.

REMOTE SHUTDOWN:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The simplest way is that to start on the local PC DShutdown, and on the remote PC RDShutdown,
(optionally RDShutdown can be installed as service using for this the program "Install RDShutdown as service.exe", in this way the remote ShutDown will work even if the login is not effected).
Otherwise it is necessary that DShutdown is in execution on both the PC:
In that to be extinguished, you/he/she must be sprouted "remote Allow shutdown of this PC" (or to put in the command line, the parameter / SERVERMODE).
In the other, instead it will need to insert in, "List of the PC to be extinguished" the IPs of the PC that are wanted to extinguish (this can also be gotten with the command line).
For every remote IP a combination of settaggi can be selected (logoff, reboot...) personalized for that datum PC (the settaggis will be sent together with the command of turning off).
The remote ShutDown (wanting) you/he/she can be protected from a Password, correct to avoid that without authorization the computers of the others can be extinguished; -)
If a FireWall is used you/he/she can be necessary to create a rule that allows DShutdown to use the door 4444.
In the list of the remote IPs he can also insert some comments type,: "192.168.55.1 (file server K6) ", enough that between the IP and the comments there is at least a space.
TYPE OF SHUTDOWN:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. "LOGOFF" ago the simple logoff.

2. "SHUTDOWN" on Windows NT makes to appear the writing "it is possible to extinguish the computer Now" that is it effects the shutdown without the Power Off. On Windows 9x, if the APM/ACPI is supported, it produces the Power Off, otherwise it behaves as on NT.

3. "Power OFF" (NT only) it Extinguishes the computer completely (it removes the tide).

4. "REBOOT" it Restarts the PC.

5. "FORCE" instead of asking to the trials to finish, it immediately finishes them (it is usually used only in particular cases).
On NT5 you/he/she can be combined with the option "FORCE AFTER WAIT" to strengthen its effects.

6. "FORCE IF HUNG" (Win2000/Xp only) he/she Asks to the trials to finish, but if these, after a datum period, they don't answer it finishes them.
And' an option similar to her "FORCE AFTER WAIT", but you/he/she is totally managed by windows, for which, also guaranteeing with less safety that the PC will extinguish him (it misses some power of the "FORCE AFTER WAIT"), it perfectly produces a clean shutdown (considering that it is windows to manage him/it), it is the option to prefer him in the most greater part of the cases.

7. "FORCE AFTER WAIT" it serves for getting a regular and sure ShutDown to 100%:
The option allows to have the certainty that a PC (local or remote) it will extinguish him as it happens when the option is specified "FORCE" (on NT5 also more) but, contrarily of this, it allows the programs to regularly close him.
In fact at times understands that a program jams, that cancellations voluntarily the shutdown or that I/you/he/she obstinately ask some confirmations of closing making the turning off so impossible.
The option produces the following passages:
- He/she sends the signal of standard closing to all the active trials.
- It attends 3 seconds to give him time to finish.
- It simulates an application of closing from the system to the trials been active (in this way the trials that asked confirmations are also closed).
- It attends 2 seconds to also give to these the time to finish.
- it produces a forced ShutDown. (but by now to force possible stopped trials they have remained) only.
On NT5 you/he/she can be combined with the option "FORCE", in this case, in the final phase, the forced shutdown will be energetic even more since it makes use of low-level functions.

8. "STAND BY" it puts the PC in Stand By.

9. "HIBERNATE" it puts the PC in hibernation (if trained).

10. "HANGUP" it interrupts all the connections RAS active (profit to disconnect the Internet modem from remote without extinguishing the PC).

11. "DISABLE LAN ADAPTERS" it currently disables the cards of in operation net.

12. "File server LESS Mode" it serves to extinguish the remote PC without the necessity to install on them "RDShutdown" or "DShutdown" shaped as file server. E'un'opzione more limited than, to work, requires that the consumer with which he is loggati also exists on the remote PC and possesses the privileges of shutdown. On Win9x/NT4, because some options work (particularly PowerOff and LogOut) it is necessary to unload and to install the packet WMI from the site Microsoft.

13. "CANCEL IF USER IS LOGGED" (Win2000/XP only) it allows to annul the shutdown of a remote PC if on it there is a consumer loggato (it serves for avoiding to extinguish a remote PC if someone is working us above).

14. "START PROGRAM" . the moment of the ShutDown starts a program or it opens a specified file.

15. "WRITE LOG" before extinguishing the local PC he/she writes a file of containing LOG the date, the time and the options of selected shutdown. Every time that the file of log reaches the 100KB you/he/she is reseted (but in practice this never happens).

16. "SOUND ADVISE" it Produces a sonorous notice of 5 seconds before the shutdown. Then, if him deselezionano the other options (Reboot, PowerOff...), DShutdown can simply be used as a sonorous Timer.

17. "EXIT PROGRAM" In this way DShutdown finishes when the timer goes off. This can be useful, for instance, if he/she is wanted that DShutdown to a certain time starts a program, son-in-laws a sonorous notice or extinguishes some remote PC without remaining in execution after these events.

18. "WAKE ON LAN" to turn on one or more remote PC that support this function. And' necessary that, when this option the first time is selected, the remote PC is power on, otherwise DShutdown won't succeed in getting the Mac-Address of the remote PC and it will visualize an error message.

The settaggis recommended for a normal use are:
Windows 2000/XP---> "POWEROFF" + "FORCEIFHUNG"
Windows NT4---> "PowerOff"
Windows 9x---> "ShutDown"

GENERAL OPTIONS:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. "Auto Start" If after having planned the various options him clicca on "Auto Start", to the following reboot, DShutdown will automatically set out with those specific options. In this way it is possible to avoid to use the command line (what more versatile is but also more complex).
2. "Set Default" Imposes the options selected next time currently as default for, I understood the commands that determine the shutdown (x es. the turning off in 10 minutes).
3. "Save settings on exit" it Saves the settaggis but not the commands that determine the shutdown.
SPECIAL OPTIONS:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. Possibility to extinguish the PC when another program finishes (profit to extinguish the PC at the end of the compression of many fileses).

2. Possibility to get the ShutDown when the connection falls (no NT4) or when the traffic internet reduces him over a date is accustomed to for a datum time (profit to extinguish the PC at the end of a download).
It is now also possible to choose the peripheral of monitorare connection (Analogical Modem, ISDN, ADSL, Card of net, virtual devices etc.)

3. Possibility to get the ShutDown when the use of the CPU from a trial salt or it goes down under an established level for one specified time period. Profit, for instance, to extinguish the PC after an operation of encoding video.

4. Possibility to extinguish the PC when one specified pixel of the screen changes color for a datum time period, profit, for instance, to make to follow the shutdown to a particular event on the screen as a window that he/she is closed, a message that appears or an icon that changes color...

COMMAND LINE:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wanting is possible to give the formulations in the command line (for example in a batch file).
In reality in the most greater part of the cases the same result can be gotten planning then the various parameters and cliccando on "AutoStart", in fact when it is selected "AutoStart", the command line inserted in the AutoStart is also copied to informative purpose in the ClipBoard (this function can be used to create some custom designed command lines in automatic).
/ ATTIME / h13 / poweroff / IP:192.168.55.2 / reboot / IP:PcAthlon / reboot
POSSIBLE PROBLEMS:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The option "INTERCEPT SHUTDOWN, THEN AS SELECTED" it doesn't work if the turning off to be intercepted is a forced turning off, in fact in that case all the programs (inclusive DShutdown) you/they are finished of hit without any possibility of intervento/intercettazione.

The automatic turning off (that is doesn't screen her/it "it is possible to extinguish the computer Now", but really the Power Off) it will work only on a modern PC that supports the automatic turning off with the APM/ACPI activated by BIOS (however if when he normally goes out of windows the PC he extinguishes completely he/she wants to say that the APM/ACPI is supported).

When it is selected "Turning off of this PC from remote", the program puts on waiting for the command of turning off on the door 4444. If such it brings it is busy from another program (unlikely but possible) it won't be possible to select such box.

NOTES:
~~~~~~
The program uses the technology UPX (http://upx.sourceforge.net /) to increase its portatilit.
